General Questions


What is miMoney?

miMoney is a free personal financial management service that combines, organizes, and tracks all of your financial information. With it you can track expenses, create budgets, set goals, and plan for the future. Every transaction is automatically categorized so you can easily monitor spending, and Bubble Budgets help you understand the health of your spending. 


How can it help me?

miMoney helps you get a clear picture of your finances by combining of all your financial information in one place. Bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts can all be added, so you can budget for your next vacation or work towards retirement goals. 


Who can use miMoney?

miMoney is a free service offered to State Savings Bank customers. If you are not a customer and would like to open an account, check out one of our offices  or call State Savings Bank at (231) 352-9691.


Are there any fees?

No. miMoney is a free service offered to State Savings Bank customers. 

 

Is miMoney secure?

Yes. Using miMoney is very safe. Protecting our customers' data is paramount at State Savings Bank. We and our partners use the latest technology to ensure your accounts are safe and secure. All data is transmitted over SSL with a VeriSign Class 3 Extended Validation SSL Certificate.


How do I enroll?

Log in to Online Banking from the State Savings Bank website. In the left column, click on Services and then miMoney. The next screen will help you set personalized security measures, completing the enrollment process.


Why does miMoney require an active email address?

miMoney uses your email address as your unique user ID to verify your account during sign-up, to send alerts and for occasional communications from State Savings Bank.


Why do you need the last four digits of my Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN)?

To ensure that miMoney remains available exclusively to our customers, State Savings Bank will use the last four digits of your SSN or TIN only to verify your relationship with the bank. This personal information will not be used for any other purposes.


Can I use my Online Banking login?

No. For security purposes, miMoney requires a unique email address login and password.


Is miMoney available  within Online Banking?

Yes. You can access miMoney from within State Savings Bank's online banking, but not from within the State Savings Bank online banking mobile app. To access miMoney from your mobile or tablet device, please download the Mobile miMoney app for Apple or Android.


Can I use it to make transfers or pay bills?

No. Transfers and bill pay functions can only be done within State Savings Bank's online banking.


How does miMoney get my account information?

miMoney connects to State Savings Bank and other institutions through secure connections by using your user ID and password for each institution you want to add in order to collect your financial data.


Does miMoney have account alerts and notifications?

Yes, you can set up either Simple or Detailed Alerts to notify you if you have a large deposit, large purchase, low balance, fee charge, or have exceeded a budget. Alerts can be sent by email, SMS, or both.


What is the difference between Detailed and Simple Alerts?

Detailed alerts are based on activity within a specific account, and can be customized to allow for different dollar amounts and alert types. Simple alerts are sent whenever an event happens in any of your accounts, and are not customizable.


Where or how can I access miMoney?

miMoney can be accessed online via State Savings Bank's online banking or through the miMoney Mobile app: Apple or Android. The HTML5-based desktop version can be accessed on iOS devices.


Can I export data from miMoney?

Yes! In the desktop version, you can export from the Transactions tool by selecting the "Export CSV" link in the top gray bar. In the mobile iPad app, from the Home screen you can select "Reports," then the tabular data from each spending and income category. You can email or print the data using the icons in the upper right corner. This feature is not available in the iPhone app.

Will miMoney work in Internet Explorer 7 (IE7)?

miMoney will not work in browsers older than IE8. You will need to upgrade your browser to a newer version to take advantage of the features offered in miMoney. Download the latest Microsoft , Firefox or Chrome browsers for free.


Setting Up


Is it difficult to set up and use?

Setting up your miMoney account is easy. We'll walk you through a quick enrollment process within State Savings Bank's online banking. Once inside miMoney, you'll find a knowledge bank to help you set up and manage your accounts.
 

Do I already need to have online accounts before using miMoney?

Yes, you need to set up online accounts with any financial institution you want to access using miMoney. The system imports data from your online accounts.
 

How long does it take to use miMoney the first time?

First-time users usually take 20-25 minutes to fully complete the process. But, this can be done over time if you wish—miMoney saves your information so when you log back in, you can pick up where you left off.


How do I set up alerts in miMoney?

When setting up Detailed Alerts, you can select a category alerts will be sent for all accounts within that category. Unselect the accounts for which you do not wish to receive alerts.
 

Forgot Passcode

 
What if I forget my miMoney app lock code?

For security purposes, neither State Savings Bank nor MoneyDesktop can reset your four-digit device security code. If you have locked your device and cannot retrieve the code you will need to delete the miMoney app and reinstall it from the App Store. Your financial data will be saved with your account and will not need to be reentered.


Mobile miMoney


Is there a mobile version or app?

A miMoney app is available for use on Android and Apple devices. Refer to the miMoney Mobile page for instructions on how to activate your mobile account and download the app.


Do existing Mobile miMoney users need to create an access code?

No. Access codes are only intended for new mobile customers. If you are an existing Mobile miMoney user that has been able to login to the application, no action is required.


MoneyDesktop


Who is MoneyDesktop?

State Savings Bank has partnered with MoneyDesktop, Inc., a leading software provider to financial institutions, to bring miMoney to you.


I received a notification email from MoneyDesktop. Is this legitimate?

Yes. State Savings Bank has partnered with MoneyDesktop to bring you miMoney. Some email notifications from miMoney will originate from MoneyDesktop.

What if I need help?

miMoney includes a built-in knowledge bank that helps you answer the most commonly asked questions users have. But, we understand sometimes you may encounter a more specific issue that requires individual attention. Within miMoney, an online support team can be reached through the "?" icon located in upper right hand corner of miMoney, or you can call State Savings Bank from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday at (231) 352-9691.


How long will it take to get an answer to my question?

The support team tries to respond to every inquiry as quickly as possible, typically within a few hours. However, responses may take up to 24 hours if you are contacting us outside of regular 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. business hours.

 

How do I cancel my miMoney account?

To cancel your miMoney account, you must call State Savings Bank between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at (231) 352-9691. Upon authentication and confirmation of your request, your miMoney account will be cancelled and cannot be retrieved.
